Making Positive Impacts
through Social Initiatives

As a company, we believe in creating a better future to live in. As part of our corporate social responsibility to the community, we have launched ‘Cornerstone Green’, an initiative to address social and environment-related issues in Bengaluru.

Under Cornerstone Green, we are focusing on the following initiatives to improve the society and community at large:

  • Maintaining Parks

  • Improving Community Centres

  • Improving Educational Institutions

  • Rejuvenating Lakes

  • Promoting and Encouraging Local Talent

  • Creating Safe and Social Environments

  • Providing Employment Opportunities in the Areas Surrounding Our Projects

Rejuvenating the Indiranagar BBMP Park

With Bengaluru’s reputation as the Garden City of India, fast becoming a thing of the past, we worked to restore that reputation by rejuvenating the Indiranagar Park to pristine condition.

Starting work in September 2012, we breathed new life into the park in just four months, turning it into a green, well-lit space for residents of the neighborhood.

Through our rejuvenation efforts, the park which till recently had an abandoned look, was transformed into a space that promotes

congregation of people of all ages.

A raised platform with a giant monolith for a bird’s eye view of the park, warm lighting for the park in the evenings and well-landscaped greenery with a mix of herbaceous, flowering and foliage plants. etc., were just a few of the changes we made restoring the park.

Stone pillars add a sense of heritage to the park and wind chimes in the trees exude a Zen-like feel, contributing to the relaxing atmosphere.

Renovating the Government school at Sorahunse

Cornerstone constructed a 4000 sft. open auditorium (with stage and green rooms) for the children of the Government Higher Primary School in Varthur. We built the auditorium to help the school conduct assemblies, group activities for the students, and to hold concerts & various school programs under one roof. It also doubles as a space for the children to have their mid-day meal and gallery for the students to showcase their creativity.

We also donated computers towards a lab for the children, installed a

water purifier on the premises to ensure access to clean drinking water and constructed a half-court for basketball on the school grounds, along with a cycle stand.

The beautification efforts also included painting the main building, landscaping the garden and creating artwork for the compound wall. With an aim of improving the facilities for school children, our team built and refurbished new facilities, we truly hope our contributions help the children who are the future of our nation.

Muthsandra Village Centre Improvement

We have undertaken various community development activities in and around Muthsandra Village. Through this development initiative, we have worked closely with the village leaders to enrich the region and ensure easy access to public transport for the residents.

We rejuvenated the Muthsandra bus terminus, repairing the unpaved road and installed proper lighting to make it safer for people using the facility. The unlit bus stop was earlier unsafe, for women, children & the

elderly, especially in the evenings and, during the monsoons, the road would turn into a watery quagmire, making a bad situation worse.

We addressed the issue of lighting by constructing a High Mast pole with a top-angled lighting source, illuminating the village’s center for excellent night-time visibility for vehicles & pedestrians alike. We also laid an asphalt road at the central junction, ensuring smooth movement in and out of the village.
